Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants (CPSI)
If you are a professional looking for a meaningful career that aligns with your qualifications and experience before coming to Canada, ICA’s Career Paths for Skilled Immigrant (CPSI) program can help.
The Career Paths program at ICA can help with:
- Job search strategies, cover letter/resume writing
- Funded skills training and upgrading
- Creating connections with local employers
- Mentorship and professional networking – accessing the hidden job market
- Finding information for additional certifications
- Understanding the credential evaluation and recognition process
- Gaining insights into Regulatory Bodies/requirements
- Learning more about potential internship opportunities in the community relevant to your career field
Program Eligibility:
- Permanent Resident (five years or less)
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Not receiving Employment Insurance (EI) or BC Employment Assistance (BCEA)
- Three years of pre-arrival experience in a particular career field (one year if 19-30 years of age)
- Intermediate to advanced level of English proficiency

Learn English (LINC)
Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) provides English language training from beginner to advanced levels for adult newcomers to Canada. LINC is funded by the Government of Canada and is FREE for eligible students.
